A Chat With Caroline

This #InternationalWomensDay we sat down with Caroline, our Head of Housekeeping.

Always smiling, she laughingly agreed to this interview, and then gently shooed us out so that she could get the Villas ready for the incoming guests. Read on to find out more about this incredible woman!

1. How long have you worked in the hospitality industry and at the Zubeida in particular?

Caroline: I have been in the hospitality industry for over 13 years and have been at the Zubeida for five and a half.

2. What are your favourite things about The Zubeida?

Caroline: I appreciate the excellent customer service and care we offer to our clients through teamwork and support. Our company culture is calm, cool and all our managers and directors treat us with respect, kindness and politeness. The owners of The Zubeida truly care and provide for all their staff members and their families.

Due to this wonderful environment, we are able to provide our guests with unique, personalised services and world-class cuisines that leave them relaxed and rejuvenated.

3. Has tourism positively impacted your life, and that of your family? If yes, how?

Caroline: Tourism has definitely improved our standards of living, allowed us to travel more as a family, and learn how to communicate better with different types of people from all over the world. Our social status and standards have also improved.

4. If you weren't in hospitality, what would you be doing?

Caroline: I absolutely love being in hospitality! I learn something new every day, and wouldn't trade it for any other field in the world.

5. What are your favourite things to do when you aren't at work?

Caroline: I enjoy keeping my environment clean, watering my garden and making sure the flowers and plants there are flourishing. I love meeting new people and I also read novels in my free time. My favourite author is John Grisham.
