We have had an increase in local tourism ever since Covid shut down borders- allowing more people to #TembeaNyumbani and #TravelKenya. Today, we're sharing with you some beautiful properties in Kenya that are the ideal staycation spots! Not only are the properties stunning, but the ambience and service is also fantastic.

1. The Zubeida, Diani

The perfect getaway for families and groups of friends carefully curated by the Zubeida family. Named after their grandmother, The Zubeida hosts 2 and 4 bedroom villas with adequate privacy, pristine stretches of the Southern coast of Kenya, warm turquoise waters. She should be your top choice staycation venue.

They cater for all dietary preferences, and dining setups can vary from the restaurant to the pool, your own villa or even a sundowner by the beach.

2. Ololo Safari Lodge, Nairobi

In the heart of Nairobi National Park, this stunning property has various rooms to suit your needs. A soothing pool that reflects the bright Nairobi sky, and indoor rustic dining provides lovely views of the National Park.

Farm fresh food is a part of your meal and they also provide a lovely tour of the farm and lodge.

3. The A-Frame, Nairobi

Located in Karen, the property is a fully furnished one-bedroom cottage. While the bedroom is upstairs, overlooking the leafy suburb, the spacious bathroom below features high-pressure showers and linens.

The outdoor wooden deck overlooks a private garden while a large, soft swing chair hangs from the resident fig tree. There is an outdoor chimney where a fire can be lit in the evening.

4. Eco farmhouse, Makuyu

A boutique farmhouse not too far from Nairobi, it hosts a treehouse, cottages and is located on a gigantic mature fruit farm. A tour of the farm and the river passing by is a lovely activity with the whole family. They also have some resident ostriches that are a lovely welcoming committee!

The residence is not too far away from outdoor adventures such as white water rafting in Sagana, Castle Forest Lodge, Chania Falls, and Ragati Forest.

5. The Boathouse, Lamu

A take on the Robinson Crusoe beach shack, The Boathouse is a tropical garden oasis on the water's edge. Sustainable, eco-friendly and carbon neutral, you will be away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still, have access to wifi.

A private ensuite bedroom boasts an open air bathroom and has a separate living & dining area. Chef service is available as well upon request.
