While planning your travels to Diani beach, you might have some questions on your mind. How far we are from the airports, whether there are child-friendly activities you can do and of course- what sort of water sports are available for your adventurous little soul.

Read on and get all the goods, so that you can book and pack for your vacation with excitement!

Where is The Zubeida located?

Diani beach road (which is where we are located) is about ten minutes away from Ukunda airstrip. We highly recommend flying to this smaller airstrip if you are interested in spending your first few days on the South coast.

However, if you would like to split your time between the north and south, you can explore the main Mombasa town with ease if you fly into Moi International Airport. You will have to cross the ferry to get into the southern part, and that journey will take you anywhere between two and four hours.

What are The Zubeida's check-in and check-out timings?

Once you arrive at The Zubeida, our check-in time is 10 am and our check-out time is noon. If you would like an early check-in or late checkout, you can speak to our incredible manager, and we will do our best to accommodate your requests. You can wait in our chic, air-conditioned reception, or begin exploring the pool area, garden and restaurant while your villa is being readied for your arrival. We adhere to strict sanitisation processes to ensure that you will be safe and comfortable throughout the duration of your stay.

Where can we eat if we choose either the half-board option or the bed & breakfast stay?

Our in-house restaurant is always available if you choose to remain with us. However, Diani beach road offers an incredible array of restaurants with beautiful and thoughtful vibes. Most restaurants (including our own) offer fresh seafood, vegetarian, poultry and vegan food too. Some options can be made gluten-free as well.

Are children charged the same as adults at The Zubeida?

No, children are actually charged less. We offer discounts on adult prices depending on the age category of the children accompanying you. We are a family-friendly vacation destination and love having large groups of family and friends enjoying our facilities. We even have a separate menu for little ones who might be a little tentative about tasting new foods and can make them their favourites, so they can enjoy their holiday.

What activities can you enjoy in Diani?

There are activities available in Diani that are family-oriented and safe for all ages! The guides available at each place will guide you and help you find the best activities to suit your group.

There are dhow rides to islands, excursions, sand bars to hang out on, water sports, and various conservation centres to explore.
